Hey guys,

This group buy is now finished. Thanks to Amec for the great product, and also thanks to Dez for putting in the effort to get this GB through. Also thanks to all the buyers that paid up. I don't think Amec will be making anymore of the black kits (unless someone does another group buy and gets another 20 buyers) so we're all 1 of 20 with this kit.

Please follow these instructions to leave feedback for myself, dez, and Amec for the product itself.

leave feedback for me here : http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...r&mid=14874

leave feedback for dez (keeping in mind he is responsible for the majority of the work involved with this group buy) here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...=22515&la=0

and also for Amec (feedback on the product itself) here : http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...r&mid=27224

Here's some pics of the kit installed in dez's car:

these kits are great, i have a white kit and love it, although initialy i was after a black, but was unavailable at the time. The instalation is easy and the kit is spot on, VERY profesional, not a cheep imitation, proper plastic backed guage inserts.

GO for it guys.

Thanks for that mate...good to hear that someone with the kit loves it....you should still grab a black one though

List updated, 6 people are in for a kit, and a few of those people might be buying a few extra kits to secure the minimum of 20 kits if they need to...get in on it people!

count me in as a maybe, by the end of august i should have some cash spare to get one

I've put ya on the list, but we're hoping to have enough people way before the end of august...don't stress though coz like I said a few of us will buy a few sets to make up the last few numbers if we need to, and we'll just put em up for sale for the same price

these look nice`and are cheaper hey... in your pic above in the night version, is it possbile to get that kind of night look with the white kits as well?. .. what bulb is that you used in the pix above?. thanx

any for a r32 my mate is after 1???

Amec never got around to making them as far as I know...this buy is for R33's, so ask Amec I guess...

ill take one.

added ya to the list

the night pic above is the white kit...they'll both look pretty much exactly the same at night because you won't see the color of the faces, just the light coming from behind....thats not my car but pretty sure they're normal white globes...not even LED i dont think... but get a set of these black ones man, they look way better :w00t:

thanx for that.. black is beta hey.. i like the psi change.. way beta.. looks like ill have to cheack my money  ... and toss up white or black.. my other gauges are white, so the same color would maby match.. ill get back to you for which one :w00t:

    • Adjusting the idle screw is usually (emphasis on usually) just covering up deeper issues. Stuff like the cold start valve not closing properly. Throttle shaft seals on the way out. Coolant temp sensors getting out of spec. Coolant temp sensors especially can be a bear to diagnose because they can fail subtly. My dad just spent weeks chasing down his high idle. He cleaned the coolant temp sensor and everything but the resistance curve just drifts over time and if it's been 20+ years they also get super slow to respond as well. Has a massive effect on fuel economy as if it's off the ECU is going to run richer and command high idle for far longer than it should otherwise.
    • How old is the battery, it's more likely your battery is on its way out.
    • I reckon you'd get 90% off. My washer doesn't get between spokes very well. Haha! I love my Gerni!  Argh! Steam cleaning has its place for sure.
    • Hey all, I did a voltage test with the car (video attached) not running for 3 days. And here is some interesting stuff: - Battery voltage is 12v (I had the key in the ON position) - Drops to 9.76v while cranking then quickly goes up to 14.5v - You will notice there was a sorta slow start but not as slow as it usually is. - Idle surprisingly was better at just over 1,000rpm instead of 1,100 rpm. - I turned on the A/C, radio and headlights in the video and the voltage remains the same - I haven't cleaned the grounding wires on the chassis yet, that's next. - Battery drops to 12.6v when I turn off the car and wait a bit Seems like I might have a parasitic draw? I do have an immobiliser system which does drain the battery more of course but was wondering if there is anything else I should be looking at fixing? Does the ground wires on the chassis have anything to do with the low 12v?        SAU.avi
    • My lord that is some low oil pressure as minimum in the manual! I guess the big part will be seeing how it changes as the engine gets more spirited use.
