Anyone Tried Drifting On A Full Slick?

As the question states, has anyone ever tried drifting on a full slick? for shits n giggles mainly?

just curious as to how they cope with it, do the tyres overheat and go slippery, or are they really quite grippy?

That tool Bolger drifts on wets. The story goes that they turn to greasy crap in an instant, but I'm guessing they must still have more grip than semis or road tyres.

At least slicks wouldn't throw blocks.

ive got a couple of pairs of slicks off Jim Richards porsche thats done a few laps. still got life in them.

Yeah i know bolger uses wets, bit of a different story tho

actually I wouldn't expect too much in the way of grip out of second hand slicks - they don't stop using them because they are still good lol!

yeah they would have gone a bit hard, however they would heat right back up with some sliding in no time lol

Test pilot them - stick them on and tell us how you go

No chance matie i use them and once they warm up they will out perform any road tyre used or not. Give it a shot though but i am willing to bet they stick like poo to a blanket.

Yes kuhmo set up a drift test day with us at oran and all it proved was that they broke OS gearsets.......

I've used some Porsche cup second hand slicks and did a little drifting. They were just like other tyres but grippier. You would want shitloads of power to keep your slides going.
