All,

After thinking long and hard over what new car to get, I have decided to stay with a GTR, Im keen to do some more serious track times so I am looking at an R32's GTR, which I can take one step further then my R34.

I have found a real (Checked with Nisan) R32 GTR Vspec 93 model 77,000 Km, mods are listed below.

HKS 2540 turbos

HKS 264 cams

HKS Turbo Manifold

HKS Dump pipes

HKS Header pipes

HKS Inlet pipes

HKS Pods

HKS Intercooler

HKS Hyper Damper Suspension

HKS Remote oil filter and cooler

Adj Cam sprockets

OS Twin Plate Clutch

Metal Head and other gaskit's

Apexi PFC and hand controller

Upgraded fuel pump

800CC Injectors

90mm exhaust

Cuscal Remote catch can

Cuscal radiator deflector

17in Advan wheels

Caster Adj front

Boost gauge

Turbo timer

The Vspec STD Brembo Barkes, Vspec diff and Brake vents

UAS Dyno showed 280KW at 15PSI (With 2.5'' crap Cat) and Comp check was approx 140PSI on all 6, under carriage is a straight as they come and the interior is in good condition.

I plan to do some additional mods.

Water Menthol injection, Fat belly Cat, RB25 Airflows and pods, Sump Baffle, DBA rotors and Frodo 2500’s, Upgrade the radiator, Camber kit and alloy bushes, Retune.

Buy price is $25K with 12 months rego.

What do people think about the car and the price?

Im thinking of placing a deposit today, so appreciate the feedback.

Thanks

That is the intent! Im moving work location and will be doing far less street Km's so I can allow this car to be a lot more aggresive then I have with my previous GTR's.

I guess my question is around market price for a car like this. The ass has dropped out of the market a little, and I wonder if I am paying too much for this car?

Hey car sounds good, price sound close to being right possibly a little high.

I know godzl1975 is selling his car on the quiet and i was very tempted to buy it but i didnt have the bank to support it in the long run.

His car is unbelievable! You should check it out.

so who put the metal head gasket in? was it done in aus? were any other internals done?

with those mods and shitty looking wheels like that tells you the car wasnt sitting in a show room.

my money is on it craps itself before the 100k service..

my opinion is to buy a gtr with great body and screwed engine for about the $15k mark and use the 10k to rebuild your own engine..

that way you know what you've done to is and work has warranty (to some degree). also the car feels more like your own becaause you have decided what you want from it.

only dis advantace is that you wont have the car for a while while an engine is built.

thats the way my brain works ;)

The car looks to have had the work done in Japan a fair while ago, except for plugs its as it left Japan.

I started with that mind set, accept The parts and Labour bill hit almost $20k (Internals/turbo's/clutch/ and acc's), and I have had trouble finding cheap late 32's without damaged or rusted rails. I have only been looking for 3 weeks both here and in Jap auctions.

Point taken but I have run out of time. I loose the 34 in a couple of weeks and need wheels.

    • Interesting, I haven't read about the issue with oil getting into the speedo in the cluster before. I'll have to take more notice with mine. The speedo on my R32's when I've run factory diff and tyre size have never been accurate as far as I can remember. The non Type-M GTS-t did come with 15" 5 stud wheels and smaller brakes, but that's less than 5% of them.
    • Good to hear the condenser you picked up off my brother worked all good. Do you think there could be an issue with your AC compressor itself or the clutch on it then? I don't know a lot about them so I can't really help but keen to hear what it ends up being. Keep the build thread going man, it's nice to look back on over time.
    • This is a story of my life things, I learned eventually (thanks to someone calling me out) that my enthusiasm for discussing and sharing ideas that it came across as arrogance and I'm like... WTF?!    One thing I'm pretty sure I justifiably pride myself on is knowing that everyone will have things they can teach you, and you're always going to find out that something you think you know turns out wrong - you just don't know what it is until you get there.   Just the bursting enthusiasm that comes with ADHD when you hit something that gives you dopamine dumps can come across like you think everyone else is wrong or don't matter. But yeah, I'm a software engineer by trade and also do tuning in weekends and 100% have long had a reputation for  quickly making connections when resolving problems or forming solutions that I've sometimes had to take people form a long walk from start to end to explain how I ended up where I did when it's seemed "too simple" when I've stated my initial case, and had the "WTF" type reaction when they've realised how much was actually considered haha.   My reward is that I get all the curly problems thrown at me.
    • Wives never seem to find things funny. Especially when they're trying to sleep, and you've found the new funniest thing ever. I've never seen someone be able to get try and be cranky with me, while they're holding back fits of laughter... 😛   Also, I tell mine it's payback anyway. She has BiPolar. So the household can get quite emotionally wild at times 😛
    • I'm not up to date on the latest, but for basic modifications like pod filter, lower springs etc you can get a modification permit at the time of inspection.  For more serious modifications you will need engineering.  Intercoolers used to fall into the mod permit rule but its been a long while since i looked it up.   Either way you will be able to get it registered, just a case of $300 vs $3k .
