This winter my heater has stopped working... only get a hint of hot air coming out with a blast of freezing cabin temp air, so have been using the manual mode rather than auto...

Did notice a smallish puddle of water in the garage floor last night under the passenger side... possibly related?? the other problem I have is the electric motor behind the dash has packed it in that causes the ticking noise, is this another possibility?

There are no leaks inside the car...

Hey mate time to flush out your radiator and your heater core seems like its blocked

In my R32, the heater didn't work because the motor which controls hot/cold air wasn't working. The heater worked, but it blew more cold than hot air.

The ticking noise you're hearing could be worn out gears in the motor that control your hot/cold air. I think the only way of fixing this was to rip out the entire dash which would take about 6 hours!

Hope you get it all working soon. It's bloody cold this time of year.
