Background information:

I have just recently fitted a set of Australian delivered Tein-Super Streets to my R33 GTST.

I asked my suspension specialist to make the ride hight (from hub to arch) 350mm front and 340mm rear. Upon arriving at home i checked the heights to find both front clearances at 340mm. Rang the w/shop and he is happy to reset the heights again, even though he was sure he had set the suspension to the right height, as he remeasured it after a test drive.

Question:

Tonight i test fitted a set of rims and noticed that the height adjustment nuts are near the top, and if i want to gain an extra 10mm clearance the nuts are going to be at the very top, if i don't run out of thread first.

Can someone (that has Tein-SS's fitted to their R33 GTST) please measure the height of their car, at the front wheels, from center of hub to wheel arch, then look to see how much more thread they have above their adjustment nuts, on the coil overs.

:)

Alan

Al, that seems rather odd. I have Tein SS in my car but they are jap spec brand newies. I am sure I had heaps more adjustment in mine. Out of interest what strut tops are on yours? I presume their a solid alloy top hat rather than camber tops.

I had to use the standard suspension strut tops for mine as they come with no strut tops.

Anyways my car is at work also but I will be down there tomorrow morning to fit my exhaust back up, I could have a look but it's not going to be a direct comparison i guess with different strut tops. Get some pics if you can with the Rim off of the adjustment nut and the strut top from underneath and on top :)
