i'd chat to pk first, because at the moment your probably looking at $300 to $450 worth of setup costs and about $60 a top just for embrodery!!

to get the same logo on the sleve as on the front would probably not cost any more setup wise, but about $10 more per top for embordery (they can just use the same picture/setup and put it in a different location.

the places that do the work generally dont give a discount if you all buy the same style top etc, so it is possible for you to all get slightly different top depending on your preferance of style etc (eg. i hate hoodies... for startes what the point of putting stuff on the back if the hood is gonna cover it most of the time). the only discount may be if you get 10 done initially you get the embrodery $2 cheaper, but unless you get 10 at 1 time, you wont get that discount till you do a batch of 10 and from then on you get the reduced amount regardless of the order size. other than that the only price differance will be how much each top costs (jumper probably costs more than a t-shirt etc)

also, the logo should be on the right hand sleve imo (which i think it is in the diagram), just incase anyone can spot it while your driving your car

edit: also if you seach around the SAU site you will find heaps of places with the logos etc posted for people to use... search is your friend people!!

wats witht he setup cost?? if u gave the place for embroidery the tops and the design wouldnt u just pay them to do the job??

just an enquiry!!

well, they have to put your design into a computer format that the machines can understand, its not like they can just type it in or anything... its normally sent off to a 3rd party to get done as its quite a complicated process even more so if you start doing crazy things with maps and the likes! (they have to plan out every single stitch the machine will make for the design, the bigger the design, the more stitches, the more design cost, the more embrodery cost)

if anyone has seem my adrenalin tops, the setup for that cost $130 with $9.90 embrodery cost per top and thats a 5x3cm logo... imagine something the size of the map your thinking of.... eeeek!!!

so, chat to pk first!! all the relevant costs of the SAU logo and the url have been taken care of, as well as the font for user names. making it much cheaper to start from that base, i think the idea of the tail lights could be funky, but will cost probably $200 to setup with a $20 per top cost (these are really ruff prices btw, it could be much more or less)

if you people arent willing to chat with him, i probably can, as i think i know where he gets the stuff done currently...

i'd also be interested in getting stuff with nissan/nismo logos, but once again... more costs

Just a suggestion; how about the names, logo, amd url get embroided and then all the big funky stuff like the map gets printed on? Thats what all the schools do and the printed shite lasts for ages if its good quality

yeh i pm's him this morning!!

i think if someone can make say 3 designs and we vote on one that would be a start!! but i like vietorious's idea he drew! except with the lights url!!! im happy with that!!

thats sick!!!! i like that!! ^^^^^^^ i dont think we would need the SA as we have a map of SA!

    • Sorry no - The sandtrap adventure ended the day, happened at the end of the last session. At that time I wasn't hearing any weird noises nor were the brakes shuddering anymore. It was only when watching the videos that I remembered I had these sounds early on!
    • Did the noise appear after your sand trap adventure? Could be something got dislodged and is playing rub rub. Even a rock wedged somewhere.
    • Is there a shroud around the tailshaft spline into the back of the box? They can rub and make a horrible noise if they are not on straight/damaged. The heat might have caused it to grow too much in one direction and rub.
    • Strangely I noticed it either disappear later in the day, or not be present. I definitely noticed when I was crawling around that open wheel thingy entering the pits (that part was audible in car). Driving home and commuting around town for example, I didn't hear it. It's plausible that it was a brake disc or something still slightly in contact. The brakes absolutely felt BAD for the first couple of sessions, huge amounts of shudder and grinding as they got up to temp - And then I actually just forgot about it as the day went on/didn't notice it. The videos were from the morning when this was more present than the afternoon/drive home when it wasn't. I've asked around and got a variety of responses including handbrake shoe contacting hub, CV joints, CB tailshaft bearing as above, and clutch input bearing. I didn't test if it disappeared when clutch was in. I haven't noticed it in any of the other videos nor did I notice it when driving to that extent. More or less hoping the microphone at the rear license plate giving some kind of clue of 'something' but it looks like "spin stuff and see if you can notice it" is the way forward here. I could be smart and use the gopro mic and re-mount it to that location to see if the sound is still present at low speed actually. Sounds like a decent test whenver I have the CBF'ness to drive the car again. Given it's almost 40C for the day of the track day and the next 3 days after, the CBF is high. All I've done since getting home is unpack the car, remove the remnants of the lip and undertray and left it there. I was surprised how well the PMU Club Racers actually worked. The brake performance on the track was absolutely fantastic, best I've ever personally used, no fade whatsoever and the bitiness was almost too good, I was scrubbing more speed off than I needed to, but I also ended up infield when I started trying to scrape off ... less speed.... so...
