nice 28
It's a bit off topic but i thought one of you guys could help. All the items on my desktop are highlighted when they're not selected. Take a look at the pic and you will see what i mean. If anyone knows how to fix this please tell me. Cheers Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/176603-annoying-thing-on-desktop/ Share on other sites

SpeedRacer
Your icons are not selected, your Desktop icons are locked. To remove the background colour from around the text right-click your Desktop > Arrange Icons By > Lock Web Items on Desktop. This should solve your issue. ZENNON
or it could be because you have desktop items on your desktop... if you go to Display Properties --> Desktop -> Customize Desktop -> Web do you have anything listed there? Are any of them ticked on? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/176603-annoying-thing-on-desktop/#findComment-3233723 Share on other sites

ZENNON
What OS are you running? WinXP? What do you have as your background? A bmp? Just to confirm if you go click on Customize Desktop and go to the Web tab nothing in the webpages list is ticked on and the Lock Desktop items box is also not ticked? Maybe try changing your background image to a BMP is if isn't one already... Grant
1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel. 2. Click Performance and Maintenance, and then click System. 3. On the Advanced tab, click Settings under Performance. 4. Click to clear the Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop check box, click Apply, and then click OK two times. 5. Close Control Panel Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/176603-annoying-thing-on-desktop/#findComment-3237763 Share on other sites
