Bad luck man.. Just Cars should sort it all for you..

Do you have Full comp? or just 3rd party from just cars..?

I got rear ended by an XF ute the other day.. guy jumps out and goes "Its just a nudge mate"

I felt like grabbing a tyre iron and giving him a nudge..

Meh he drove off refusing to give me his details.. got his rego and all other details i could grab and went to the police..

Cars getting fixed on Monday.. Just a nudge is going to cost him $693..

What a wanker.. at least the person who hit you stopped and gave you her details..

Lol, yeah, that'll teach him.

I had "just a nudge" as well (in my old car)... $1100 later... brand new bumper  lucky the other party was insured. The good thing is it was hardly noticeable, but the paint would've eventually have started flaking away and stuff from the stress of being pushed in.

The smallest bump or scratch costs an amazing amount to get fixed sometimes.

what will happen though? like i got her drivers licence details and did re-check em to make sure its all correct, got rego and a statement written by her admiting her fault and got her to sign it. i told my insurance company (justcars) about it and they told me that they will sort it out. basically they bill her for my excess. so does my car get fixed while they are sorting it out or they will have to wait till my excess is paid first by her and then my car gets fixed?

Similar thing happened to me with previous car - uninsured L plater driving a shitbox swiped my side - drivers door, RR panel and the slightest mark on the rear bumper. Got details reported to police + insurance. Insurance got my car fixed no hassles and a nice 4 digit bill sent to the L plater.

Seriously some ppl have no real clue do they.

This story just goes to prove to me more and more than most drivers on the road see their cars as vehicle to get them from A to B and have no real concern for others that cherish their cars like the members of this and other forums. Sorry to hear about your accident and I can only hope that you car is back to supreme condition soon. Did the rear bar need any work prior to this? Great if so.... PITA if not.

Best of luck.

    • I would not be surprised if you are the only person on earth that has the interest/desire to do that lol.  The Haltech base map is a really good starting point, the car will fire easily and drive very well, even on mild boost levels. To me, following your advice sounds like some sort of ancient Chinese water torcher lol (this is not an insult Josh, never change <3)
    • Those car show concepts from the 2000's and 2010's like the Floria and IDx were brilliant and should've gone ahead, at least one of them. But neither Honda nor Nissan are thinking about affordable performance any more, which is truly sad.  Even if Toyota's liquid hydrogen ICE development reaches the point where it's commercially viable and the infrastructure to support it, Honda/Nissan would have to wait until Toyota allow fee access to their patents to offer it with any smaller performance models they released to take advantage of it.
    • A sporty manual RWD coupe with a IL4 Honda engine would only be a good thing I assume we won't see anything released for a few years though, unless informal talks and designs have been going on for a few years,  and due to the current, and future, emmisions and safety requirements, I assume anything "sporty" they would do would be at least some hybrid thingie And hopefully anything they are thinking of has nice lines, without lots of plastic and fake bits hanging off it like that horrendous FK8 that looked like it was designed by a 13 year old The other issue of course in the current market is cost, currently the type R is around $70k, a twin is around $50k Meh, I'm old and grumpy and would rather buy a older model car and waste my coin on that than buying anything currently available new
