Spend the APEC Public Holiday with 25 Race cars at Oran Park Raceway.

On Friday 7 September and Friday 14 December, Oran Park (20 minutes south of Liverpool) will come alive with the sounds of high powered street and race cars all in the name of fun and to help raise money for Variety. We invite you to come and enjoy a day out and have a ride around this international circuit, strapped in next to an accredited race driver.

The day starts at 8.30 am with a sign in and talk on the vehicles and Vehicle safety. From 9.30am approximately 25 Race and High Performance Cars Valued at over $2 million Dollars will line up and take you on sets of Hot laps. Cars that were present on our last track day included;

This package includes 4 sets of 3 Hot Laps in 4 Different Cars of your choice.

That’s a total of 12 laps plus mingle with mates and race drivers and enjoy a quality gourmet lunch and afternoon tea and all drinks during the day. Event starts at 8.30am and concludes by 4.30pm. Please note the law does not allow alcohol to be consumed before entering a race car.

The price for such an exciting day is half of what everyone else charges because drivers donate their vehicle, fuel, tyres and time to raise money for Variety. Tickets are half the price of a regular company as ALL the money you pay goes to charity.

So its only $150 per ticket with the proceeds to Variety, The Childrens Charity (only $120 each for 10 or more)

A great day out with all proceeds going to Variety and we know that like the last five it will book out early. Phone Nicole or Dominic on 02 9630 7500 to discuss your entertainment package.

    • Ohh even easier.   Go dial up 700rpm on the hand controller. Rip off the TPS plug, wait till the idle drops and then adjust the IACV screw so it's just a tad below the target on the hand controller (say 650rpm), plug the TPS back in and idle will climb back to target. Done.
    • Hey Sleepergm, I love your inlet piping, do u mind sharing who did the work, please? cheers, Ian
    • Yeah, you want the IACV to be running at around 30 "units", variously called "steps" or "duty cycle" depending on the person. That gives it room to go lower if need be and higher ditto.
    • Ah right that makes sense.
    • The RPM is just a target, the ECU will adjust things to try and hit that target but it's by no means guaranteed. If the IACV duty cycle is 0 or something like that and it's actually closing up fully then the idle is as low as it can physically go without reducing ignition timing. The problem can be something like the cold start valve in the IACV not closing fully, worn throttle shaft seals, torn rubber diaphragm in the brake booster allowing unmetered air, etc.
