I just bought an auto window winder of E-bay for $20, and I want to install it. Anyone have any idea on where to get the wires from for the connections? I figured out which wires I do need for the install, but, I don't want to mount everything in the door, TOO BULKY!!! I won't have any problems installing the unit, cos all the wires are colour coded. It's just basically getting to the wires under the dash, or somewhere else.

Can anyone help me as to the location for the window wires?

Thanks for your help out there!!!

PLEASE GUYS. I'M SURE THERE IS SOMEONE OUT THERE WHO CAN HELP ME.

Hi again... I have figured out how to get to the wires and how to get them through the door and the a-pillar. I was just wondering if there is anyone out there who can give me advice on which wires off the door switch do I connect the module to? I have attempted to use a test light and multimeter to get voltage from which wire does which, but the tests have been inconclusive and giving me mixed signals.

So, if there is anyone who could give me the advice, or tell me how to do it, that would be very much appreciated.

Cheers heaps.

with fiddling - yes. depends on the roof and how it actually works. if I can automate a convertible silvia to fully close the roof and lock it self - a sunroof will be a walk in teh park. are you electronics minded?

drivers door for the up wires.

poke and prod for the correct wires. nissan change them to much.

Thanks for that. I decided to just bite the bullet, use a test light and a sewing pin and that gave me the best results.

If anyone else would like assistance with this, PM me and I will try to help you out as best I can.

Tell you the truth a convertable would be easier to automate than a sunroof as a sunroof has tilt and slide. There will need to be a signal given whether to close it by sliding, or just from the tilt. I was going to get this auto wind kit from ebay but i called a few places and they have quoted me an arm and a leg to get it put in place and even more to get the sunroof to work.

Only thing i got wired to close when i arm my car is the side mirrors which fold automatically.

nah most of them are transisitor based anyway. for me its a case of two delayed signals to close it fully. same idea to open it.

nissan drop tops are a pain to automate. too many lockouts to defeat to make the thing do as you want.
