Hi there

As above, just wondering what oil you guys have been using on your KAAZ diffs and how you have found it to perform.

Also I found this on their website..... WTF are we suppose to run mineral oil in it? :whistling:

Oil for Kaaz LSD

DO NOT USE SYNTHETIC BASE OIL ON KAAZ LSD. Kaaz LSD may not function smoothly.

Cheers

Ric

ermm mineral oil's are none synthetic, try kaaz lsd oil.... slidey can get ya some, pretty sure he sells it with his diffs also

what do you mean? i know that....... :whistling:

DO NOT USE SYNTHETIC BASE OIL ON KAAZ LSD. Kaaz LSD may not function smoothly.

thats why im asking if we are meant to be running mineral oils or what?

I have a can of KAAZ oil that I have used to run the diff in, but I need to change it now and needs to be done tomorrow morning, so it has to be something off the shelf here.

Cheers

Ric

Correct me if im wrong but the Limslip 85w-140 is a mineral base oil isnt it?

Gotta love that price ;) damn, I just paid $60 for 2ltrs of Castrol SAF-XA 80w140, that the guy at Diff and Trans SA recomended me, it better works well.

Interesting after listening to industry experts i think ill steer clear of castrol oils, wear check training on tuesday night in the city was very informative.

all i know is DONT USE REDLINE! we put redline in my mates kaaz 2way in his 86 and it turn from being a nice quite lsd to one f**king noise thing, we change the oil and put some castrol in it and it went back to normal

Yeah, the Penrite is mineral based, but I havn't had any problems so I'll happily recommend it to people. Simon got me onto it and he's been using it for years now.

Yup, i love this stuff! Its awesome, makes noisy diff's quiet, is good for the lsd and best of all its cheap. being a 140W it can coap with anything you throw at it. Ive been using this oil for about 3-4 years now in various LSDs (from new also) and not had a single drama. What converted me was when i first got my TRD lsd for my ae86 i ran the diff in with some castrol mineral oil then put some expensive TRD oil in there and the diff was so noisy and it didnt even feel like the diff was operating like it should, So i drained it and tried the Penrite and the diff was silent from then on and felt so much better!
