Installing Rear Brake Pads

Have just finished installing my front pads on my S1 and was wondering if there are any tricks in replacing the rear? Is there any thing you need to do with the handbreak? How does it activate the rear calipers?

the handbrake doesnt use the calipers, it acts like a drum brake, and pushes pads against the inside of the 'hat' of the rotor, where it bolts onto the hub.

done mine and the only thing is make sure pots are pushed right in to make it easier to fit,just as simple as front to fit though

There is kinf of onf trick - if you cant get the disc off once the handbrake is off you might need to put a bolt in the screw hole in the brake disc to push it off the hub.

And you use the small hole with a rubber cover to adjust the handbrake once the new disc is back on.

Otherwise its exactly the same as the front
