Check along the channel around the boot operning, in particular where the rear guards join on.

In my old 33 the sealant they used had cracked along there. The water would get into the crack and run between the panels towards the rear and drop onto the top of the light. I originally tried resealing my lights because it looked like that was where it was coming from, but it wasn't.

I used 5min aroldite along the crack to fill it. Fixed the problem for the next 2 years that i owned the car and you could barely tell i had done anything as it all set clear. I'm sure any sealer would work, it just will look more obvious

i had the exact same problem and it made my sub all wet ;) but reversed into someone once and when it was fixed the tail light sealant wasnt put on sufficiently and i ended up sikaflexing a whole lot of it up now it looks pretty average but at least theres no water,

dont do what i did haha
