Windscreen Seals

Recommended Posts

So I want to replace both my front and rear windscreen seals, since they look worn out from sun exposure with little cracks here and there.

Any idea where i can obtain new ones of these seals? Nissan Japan?

By the way, I'm talking about that black rubbery thing around the windscreen.. matter of fact, i want to get the whole thing replaced both rear+front & two sides.

My god, that's outrageous..

So all up, it could cost me close to 1k just for front and rears.

Would i need to buy the molding kit, is it really necessary?

How do i order these seals? Just go to any Nissan parts dealer in here? Or do i need some one, perhaps a parts importer who can contact Nissan in Japan and get some down here for me?

On a cruise i met a guy with r32 gtr who got a mobile windscreens obrien guy to install a rear windscreen. The bloke used a generic seal that fitted well and looked good. It was a bit wider than the stock one but looked a hell of a lot better than my old ratty peeling back seal. Cant remember price for seal, was less than $100.

i work for obriens the after market moulds are about $30 to $50 each depending what they use but to fit them probley you need to pull the windows out and there is a risk of braking them

OEM for looks.

Generic for the Wallet.

My back window is a generic seal (damn petrified birds) most ppl don't notice, and looks fine...

but if your picky which your seem to be (are they $1K+ bad?)... then its the wallet option.

+4 on the universal seals

They look better in my opinion, the standard nissan ones seem to fall off or peel back at high speed

I lost part of my rear one, and then found it under my wheel :P scratched to pieces, i'm going 1 piece generic, it'll just look much cleaner than the 7 piece top seals the R32s have :S
