Here is the springs you may need

Are those cams a step2?...Cannot find them here.

But judging by the duration and lift I would say..No you don't need new heavy duty valve-springs...because you lift is not high.

Looks like they could be the 2202-RN175 Units om the bottom of that...anyway..make sure you know what they are before you go to install them...you will need to measure up and accordingly get the right size shims....

Cheers hope I have been of some help..

hmmm ok - well i'm in japan at the moment and strolled into upgarage and found these dammmmnnn cheap!!! thats why im asking

only info was

in 256 9.0 lift

ex 256 9.0 lift

i searched and i think legend01 used the same camshafts in his rb20det, with standard springs - just trying to get confirmation

Well maybe they did make that size...not 100% sure..if they did ..then no springs required.

But if they have the lift of the ones they make now...256...with 10mm or 10.5 mm..then I would suggest the springs...

That is my suggestion..

the drop in's are only 8.8mm lift afaik. the 264 drop in is the 9mm lift one.

Either way. yes you can definately run a 9mm lift cam with stock valve springs. I have a 264/9mm exhaust cam in my rb25 atm and have had no issues in the last year, including a couple of track days, skid pan days and plenty of dyno time.
