How to run a car on dyno?

Does anyone know the procedure of doing a power run on a dyno?

As in do we floor it? or gradually bring it to a scream?

I might get a chance to use a dyno and the tuner may not be there, hence the query..

Every time I've had one done it's been the "gradually bring it to a scream" way...

as you gradually push your foot to the floor you turn the resistance up on the dyno while watching the AFR and power figures

for a power run, put it in 3rd or 4th and floor it

any1 that owns a dyno will know how to operate it, coz they will be the ones running your car on the dyno!
