besides brake dust, why would you choose the k500's over the k750's?

If you're not doing track, then you wouldn't need K750's. The way I see it, you get a better pad for only $35 more.

what lines would i order for a R32GTR with R33 brembos all round? cant imagine it being at all different to normal lines...

Yeah just the standard 32 gtr lines will fit.

Thats the same setup i have on my car

so by better pad, you mean the k750 over the k500??

i do have a track day coming up on march 14th, but realistically i would be doing maybe 2-3 track days a year. Would this warrant though going up to the K750's??

I assuming there is also a trade off in 'rotor wear' from the k500's to the k750's?

Yes by better pad I mean the K750's over the K500's.

If you're doing track days, then I would strongly recommend the K750's. The K500's aren't designed for track.

Yes, there is a trade off in rotor wear from the K500's to the K750's, however I think its negligable.

You'll probably find your brake fluid will boil well before the pads reach their max temp. If you're going track, get some Lucas brake fluid.

Cheers

hi i just need pads..will the k500s fit the stock setup? and is it good just for street driving? noise wise compared to the stock one? thanks

I'm assuming by stock setup you mean for a 33 gtst?

Yes, K500's are ideal for street driving. They produce no extra noise.

Cheers

    • Thanks for reaching out!  It's a blessing and a curse at the same time.  I'm undiagnosed but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see it in me... I have more half started projects laying around my house, shed, garden, etc taking up space and money, destroying aesthetics than if I added up all of my mates projects together. But, ADHD gives me the ability to hyper focus on things that no mere mortal could even  comprehend.  A recent pool build is an example of that....  I dont know anyone else that would be dumb enough and focused enough to take on then complete something of that magnitude. I call ADHD a superpower but it can equally be completely destructive if not controlled and focusedon the right places. Addiction is a major concern to ADHD people and thankfully my addictions have been no worse than projects, XBOX, chocolate and being an arsehole! It's often hereditary and my 13 year old son is currently learning how to drive it at the moment. Keep lurking! If i can finally finish this bloody thing at some point it will be a win for all of us ADHD'ers! 🤪
    • I've been quietly following this thread for ages, but this one got me. Since my ADHD diagnosis (and associated learnings and prescription) I'm way less inclined to wade into forum yarns when there are better things to do with my time, as half the time I'd end up in some kind of forum debate even if that wasn't my intention. I've not lost the ADHD "superpowers", just am a lot better at directing my hyperfocus into slightly more constructive things, but haven't stopped quietly lurking in here in my spare time.
    • Stripped the tank down and gave it a good scrub. It came up really good! Not sure if I'll just put it back in like that or give it a blackening treatment (such as Bowdens The Black Box). That might give it a matte look so might just run it as is.
    • @MBS206 Ha ha, yeah ADHD is a daily battle to not get drawn in to doing things you want to do that you know you shouldn't do!  Every single time I walk into my shed I end up doing something I started the day having zero intention of doing! I keep mentioning the 1 step forward, 3 steps back scenario and I'm tipping people that are blessed with ADHD (yes, blessed) are the worst at that!
    • We import a lot of cars from Japan. I'd say that approximately 20% of our traffic is imported JDM cars (mainly consumer cars like the Mazda Demio, Toyota Yaris, Honda Fit, Suzuki Swift, etc.). We also import a lot from the UK, but this has decreased after Brexit. Apart from the consumer vehicles, two of the larger, well-known dealerships frequently import iconic '80s/'90s JDM cars. I haven't heard of anyone importing from Australia, and they are not advertised (unlike Japanese ones), despite a lot of Maltese migrating to Australia in the '50s and '60s.
