I'll be pickin up my new R33 GTS-t later this week and would like to do my own mini self service soon after, how’s this sound:

- Oil change (Fully synthetic? Something to accommodate freeway driving?)

- Oil filter (145a)

- Clean air filter

- Fuel injectors (metho?)

- Fuel filter (z200?)

- Coolant

- Spark plugs (NGK .08mm)

- Octane Boost :-)

- Reset ECU

- Then a Tune

Anything else?

I just got my R33 on Friday, anyway upon inspecting I found that the compliance place had already done most of these things.

New Fuel Filter

New Air Filter

New Oil Filter

Changed Oil

Changed Coolant

I haven't checked the plugs as yet or the fuel injectors and I reset the ECU myself wasn't sure on that either.

You might find that a lot of it has been done for you.

I'd check/replace your gearbox oil too. Maybe even your diff oil.

I know my gearbox oil wasn't changed when the compliance was done, even though it should've been

And maybe take your AFM off and give it a clean too. There's a thread in the Maintance section about that.

Cheers

J

Sorry my post may have seemed a little misleading.

Its not a fresh import, I bought it locally.

90,000 kms on the clock.

Is gearbox oil an easy job? My servicing experience extends to Oil/Air filter changes & brake calipers.

Plugs?

Timing belt at 100,000kms I spose?

prob do it now...unless it has been done before but i doubt it...but it's worth doing just just incase it is getting worn and you rather use the money now rather then it snapping and destroying nearly everything

the items that he's changed...find out what he has and has not at least you will get some history..what oil has been used when wa sit last changed...make sure you check out if he can provide import papers...of some original documentation..some original details..

theres alot to do here, first dont use metho on ur injectors,

make sure u use the correct coolant, nissan coolant is good, u shouldnt mix coolants, if ur going to flush the system make sure that u do put to much coolant and not enough water, u have to get ur mixtures right

how do u plan to tune it, u need a computer to give u diagnostics on how the car is running

and u should make sure u do ur timing belt if it hasnt been done, its a big job, call around to a workshop and see how much they will charge, because u dont want things to go wrong after, its a lot of money, they will be able to tell you what needs to be done and what doesnt, ur skylines at the turning point of its life

make sure the workshop are skyline specialists
