Fitting A Rb20det Box Into A Rb25det Engine....

Will i lose any power, or will the box just be weaker?, ive been told by my mechanic, who only deals with rb engines that thats a good way to go, which is puttin a rb20det box into a rb25det engine, and cheaper too, and more readily available....

what will the outcome be?...

forgot to mention, im after a max of 250rwkw, which i was told it will handle easy....and it will cost me about $2250 all up including new clutch and everything els.e

yeah it shoudl handle it fine, but round 250kw+ it'll start to get a bit tired i think and could break

but the price difference is a lot in some cases over a grand, so I'd say throw an RB20det box behind it it should last a while

just don't put slicks on it and try to drag it :S it'll definitely blow...

the torque of the motor will break the box. not really worth it in the long run just get a rb25 box if ya can
