So i bought 2X12 inch subs in an enclosure today...

and they have like the things on the sides that u unscrew put the wires in then screw back up..... i know i need an amp and im getting one soon. but for now...

is there any way to run it off the head unit which has RCA cables coming out of it :S

some of the pioneer head units let you bridge the two rear speakers to run a sub, however I wouldn't recommend doing this because

A) you will blow up your deck if you dont know what you are doing

b) the results you get a relatively poor.

As an example the deck might have 20W RMS per channel = bridged 40W RMS.

IMO a sub needs at least 100W RMS to really even get started. (you really want about 250W RMS to get it moving.)

You really need to head to your local stereo shop and get the guys to:

A) work out the correct load of the wiring config of the box

B) sell you a compatible amp
