V35 Fuel Door

That fuel door problem you are refurring to is what they call a fuel door actuator. As someone mentioned before it is a plastic bolt which locks the fuel door.

If you remove the boot trimming near the fuel door you will see a plastic box. This is what can go faulty.

Replacement of this costs around $70US.

I've got the same problem. If I remove the boot trimming will I be able to to manually open it from there? Is it as easy as pushing a button or does it take some fiddling around? Btw, is the boot trimming easy to remove? Anything I should be aware of before doing it? Thanks.

Funnily enough, I was reading this thread as I was curious as to know what could possibly go wrong with a damn fuel door.
