Changing Cluster light bulb???

I was wondering can I change the R33 GTS cluster light bulb with another 5 watt 168 bulb? I heard the stock is 3.4watt and is it ok to run a 5 watt instead? I want to change it to different color because the stock one is so dim it makes me sleepy at night. Thanks.

do you mean the light bulbs in the speedo/tacho case? if so yeah 5 watts is fine, tahts what i got in there

yeah i did the originals were yeah like 3.4 watts and they had blue covers on em, really not bright

That's exactly what I want to do too...was it hard? How does it look if i just take off the blue cover? Do you have a picture of your work?

put luminouse dials in if you want it to be bright.

if you shop around you can get these for as little as $150. they change clouors from blue to green and dim. they have a lttle remote to do this. i recon its the best money ive spent on an iterior mod.
