Whats the difference between STD, 0.25 and 0.5. Whats would you recommoend for a rebuild?

all depends if you have to get the crank machined and how much....ask you machinist what size to get

You only need something other than standard if your crank was damaged in the first place - which they mostly are if you've spun a bearing. No real problem going 10 or 20 thou undersize.

In "standard" size ACL have a +0.001" extra option which allows more oil into the bearing....I've got them in my motor atm and hasn;t caused any problems yet

I wouldn't go any more than .25 mm ( 10thou") under on an RB crank , if you need to machine the crank more than that, toss it out nad buy a new one .

In any case you should be checking the crank, even a new one, for runout and make sure you have the correct oil clearences ...
