It is black but sounds as though it has a fancy gearbox rather then a manual. My first thought was Steve Stowdens old car, post finance company rebuild to street car spec etc. But it woudl incluce a gearbox change...either way theyu bloke has cut me off on the footpath twice now. Next time i car jack him and come race you in whatever P1 car available :/

spotted these beauties in Adelaide today :D:)

This thing is so insanely quick out of the corners, it gave the safety car plenty of room before it did some fast run's up the straight. The CCR was awesome to watch with the flames spitting out the rear end

Almost forgot this one, it was a late inclusion as the Carrera GT didn't make it (the driver was hesitant to go fast out on track and was holding up the ford GT and ferraris so they ended up passing it down the straight :) ). Unfortunately the spyker didn't make it either :D

Greg - that's the new Gran Turismo. Beautiful car.

Re: extreme machines at Clipsall...

That's our K-Segg and the Ford GT (black one) is the first RHD car from Craig. He came past on the way to dropping it at Zagame for shipping to Adelaide.

I've been in that Zonda. Still the only one in the country.

Good to see the Bug here - brought over by Bugatti. Word on the street is there are 5 confirmed orders for cars to be sold in Aus.

nice, i was wondering about the CCR having seen your pics earlier in this thread.

unfortunately the 959 found the concrete barrier today with the driver looping around and hitting the front corner in the chicane. Hopefully there are some spare bumpers around for them.

Mark Coffey is over here over seeing his ferrari in the GT series (not doing a bad job pole with over 3.3seconds back to second) I thought the 599 may have been his but it didn't have his VIC plates on it (NSW rego)

Saw a few nice cars in Sydney while dropping off the Porsche 911 (997) Carrera S Cabriolet (what a mouthful). A nice black Lambo Gallardo, some nice Mercs...then got to P1 Supercars new Sydney Office. Sorry for phone pics.

There was this guy's photo....he's on the far left. Generally known as that guy from P1.

The view out from the office..... L-R Maserati quattroporte, the Porka and the Gallardo spyder

And my taxi to the Casino and the ariel atom up the front of the building

The taxi was of course the Fezza 360 Challenge Stradale. The only silver one in Oz.

I've parked like that before. Well over toward a handicapped park and a metre from the kerb. Was in a Gallardo too

James, the pleasure was all mine. It takes a while to discover what a great machine it is. Effortless and a car for almost all occasions are terms that spring to mind. And the CS (which I understand is Ians' favourite) is just wicked. What a crazy car. Race mode FTW Ian!!!

spotted a rather second hand looking CCR today,

James i hope it isn't to badly damaged, looked like some panel damage and i hear there was a fire in the engine bay. The car looked very unstable coming out of a few of the corners

Uh oh.

that doesn't sound promising

not good that 2 of the 11 cars ended up damaged (pitty it wasn't any of the Lamborghini Melbourne cars instead, i wouldn't be to upset if Mr Smith had to fix his up)

After talking with Mark for a while i found out it is his / raftis 599

Is more a general uh-oh as its never good to see anything bad happen to a car like that

It's not part of our active fleet, and as such I'm not sure who'll have the cheque book out to get it fixed. I just don't think we'll see it back in the Sydney showroom for a while...

Lucky the Veyron stayed off the walls though :P

I knew the 599 was Tony's (plate is TR 599) - but I am not sure who owns the 959. I know Lindsay has a silver one, but knowing him - there's probably a few more stashed away.

yeah Peters name was on the information about the car.

for some reason i thought the 599 had NSW plates (should have looked clearly)

the veyron only stretched it legs down the straight, I'm sure the sigt of a spinning 858 infront of it as it came into the chicane was enough to make him drive slowly though the corners.

Is more a general uh-oh as its never good to see anything bad happen to a car like that smile.gif

couldn't believe the amount of dick heads in the crowd cheering and clapping when it spun into the wall.

    • Heaps of historical info on this, a quick Google gave dates back to 2012, all talk about identification markings, dimples, shapes of mounting surfaces, washers, that are concave or something to match the fasteners mounting surface, which ARP states that if the washer, if it uses a washer in its application, isn't the right way around, it can cause premature failure,  even if it was torqued up correctly with whatever lube is meant to be used There is even talk about getting the bolts Xrayed to check the structure, one was about some builder getting multiple sets of bolts, having them Xrayed, and picking from those results Nowadays identical "looking" fake parts, in identical looking fake packaging are everywhere, with all the markings and stuff, the only way you know they are not legit is Xray or when they fail I assume if you don't want fake parts, and don't have a Xray machine handy, is to get them directly from ARP in the USofA, aftermarket rod and head bolts aren't something to take for granted  Imagine building a big dollar build only to find you lunch it because of an inferior fake fixture let go 😫

    • It's in the bloody domain name twice! Yes...the GTR boxen have, for some reason, been cheaper than the RWD boxen for a long time. 10 years ago the GTST box was available here for <AU$3k. 5 years ago the GTT box was available for ~AU$3300. Both retail through 3rd party. Now the GTT box is >4k locally and only available for less if you're willing to jump through some hoops. Apparently they can be ordered from Nissan dealers for $3-3.5k at trade pricing. A friend of mine has a new GTT box sitting on his showroom floor that I keep wanting to hit him up for but I'd somewhat rather he sold it to someone else at his asking price than to me for a mate's rates discount.
