I would expect any of the transporters would give you a good rate back from Brisbane. The majority of trucks must come back empty, so any $ is a bonus for them.

EDIR: Sorry - you're going TO Brisbane (my bad reading).

Yar thats right, only cos me 400 to bring my car down here but I think it's closer to double that heading up there. I used Patricks when I brought my car down was organised through someone a friend knew but no issues at all.

i have a week a off ill drive it up for you for the cost of petrol you can pay my flight back lol
Or you could drive my new 180B SSS back!

But I think I'd like to truck it - it's a 1-owner 1973 model, with only 22,300 MILES on the clock. Driving it back would nearly double the odometer LOL

Just asked TNT who pointed me to CEVA Logistics (1300 655 594). They quoted $470 to bring car from Bris -> Mel. (Mel -> Bris around $800)

Toll Logistics quoting $427 Bris -> Mel

Not listed under "SMB". Closest is SMB Fleet Management (Novation Leasing)

Not sure what they call themselves but SMB stands for 'Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane'..

I see their trucks on the road all the time....

Found SMB:

Sydney Melbourne Brisbane Car Express is a Car Transporter located in Williamstown VIC Australia

Where is it?

11 Fink Street

Williamstown VIC 3016

How to contact them?

(1800) 262085

Or it might be:

Unit D, 55 Cherry Lane, Laverton N

Ph 1300 362 085

Email:[email protected]

Anyway, I've sent them an email enquiry - see what happens.

Hey mate, have u called around and asked about back loading your car? We did it for a mate of mine with his ceffee, only problem is that you would need to find a place where you aren't required to hold an account. When we did it we used the joint that my dads business deals with so we got good rates, best bet is to call around and ask about back loading.

Alternately have you looked at wacking it on a train? They run to Sydney then up to Brisbane, I have no idea about this, but just some food for thought.
