Rb25det Rocker Covers

Can any body confirm 100% that the rocker covers on RB25DET are the same, or different between series 1 and series 2 R33 GTSt?

There is a slight visual difference but will they still work?

as long as bolt pattern and internal width and height are they same then i cant see why not...

The series 2 one has a raised section towards the rear...dont know why...dont know if it makes a difference or if i can use it at all.

ok here is the REAL story

i got my rocker covers painted and brad got jealous

there were a pair of s1 rocker covers lying around so brad decided to get them painted and then swap them over when they were done so his car wouldnt be off the road

the guy who painted them realised they were different to the ones he painted for me as brad has already explained,

the s1 rocker covers are painted and finished and brad wants to know if they will work with s2 engine

brad needs somebody to blame for this and who else other than me because he is jealous of my covers

That raised section is for oil/air separation.. I think my mate was having trouble with the non raised cam covers on his RB25/30 - can't remember what the problem was but pretty sure he has the raised ones now. If you need more info. I'll ask him

as i said above 'same' i had a S2 and S1 head, and swapped the covers over with no problems.

Yeah that is the difference, the RB25/30 I was referring to has an N/A head.
