Oil Lines Question

Hey guys, I did a search trying to find this answer which im sure is on here somewhere, but couldnt find it.

On an RB20 turbo, is there 2 oil and 1 water line? or 2 water and 1 oil line??

there are actually two oil and two water. The return oil line is the big one underneath. Oil feed is the one on the top. The ones on the side are water

why?

im just confused because i bought lines and got sent two water lines and 1 oil line...but then ive heard that there should be one water and two oils, then you said theres 2 of each....

I understand what your getting at now.

2 water and 1 oil.

The 4th is the kinked metal tube, that then has another rubber tube connecting back into the engine.

Reminds me of TV-Happy Days when someone asked Richy Cunningham how many bases there are in baseball and he took ages to answer.

Fonz and Ralph were thinking that's easy, 4. Richy took his time and answered 3 bases and 1 home plate and got it right

its on the bottom pointing down.

what u have recieved is correct there are 3 lines and the bottom is the oil drain that u can reuse.

just have a look at your set up and u will understand better.

yeh i know what you're talking about...havent dun much work before on turbos...its going onto an RB30 block, so just trying to work it all out...
