This is just my thanks to SAU.

When I bought my R33, I had no idea what a turbo was and how it worked, all I knew is that I now had one and it was cool. I did a search and found SDU, posted in the Austrlia section and got told to come over to SAu, which I promptly did. I was then educated on the many working bits of my beautiful piece of engineering. I cant thank enough all those people who took that stupid noob in and slapped some common sense and knowledge into me.

Over the next two years I would be helped out by lots of different people who are members here, both physically and financially. I wont even try to list everyone, because sure enough I'll miss someone, but you know who you all are!

To show just how nice people are on here, I was driving from Rockhampton to Brisbane, late friday night. I stop at Gin Gin, aka middle of no-where, and grab something to eat and go to put petrol in the car. Went to start it up, nothing, just turns over like a trooper. At this point in time I call up RACQ to see what they can help with, not much, he showed that there was power getting to the fuel pump, it was just not going. Now just having a 044 installed no less that 4weeks ago I was pissed, tired and frustrated. Here I was, middle of freakin no-where, stranded, now at 12 middnight.

So I take a chance, and wake up someone from here, a SAu member who I have never actually met before, but only chatted on msn and here with. He's unable to help me, but knows of someone who could. No here is the thing, he calls a mate, another SAU member, and he has never met me, but agree's to come out with a spare 044 and help me get going.

So after 3.5 hours of fault diagnosing the problem is found and the fuel pump re-wired. I offered this guy money, but all he wanted was something to eat and the petrol costs to come out. Then he tells me that I shouldnt press onto Brisbane, but come back to his place and have a sleep, and in the morning he would follow me to Gympie, (300kms away).

So this guy, who was driving 3 hours to gympie, came out to help a total stranger in the middle of the night.

I really want to express my utter thanks, once again to him. But also to everyone who has helped me like that over the years, like when John helped me limp back home after the island incident, or when Mike towed my car back from QLD raceway, for nothing but the petrol costs, or when Marc has helped me out.

I have now sold my stagea, and now gone back to a VS commodore, mainly because it was given to us, and having a mortgage to pay off and not really needing 2 cars, we opted for the cheaper to run.

Thank you so much Christain for continuing to run SAU, thank you to all the admins and moderators that take the time to keep this place awesome, and thank you to all the people who come here and help out others.

I probably wont be online much, no point, the flanno, stubbie shorts and double pluggahs are on order and I am in the midst of growing the best mullet I can get, that will complete the transformation into true bogan.

Without SAU and all the wonderful people here, my life would not have been the same.

Thank you and goodbye, drive safely and remember, real men smoke rubber.

Cy

Hi Cy :whistling:

Sorry to hear about your new fuel pump, but its great that there are people still out there, ready to go that extra mile just to help a fellow human in need :)

Hope the VS works out, and it is a SAD day to see the stag go >_<

Marc and I hope to see you soon anyway.

Love Kazah & Marc

XOXO

Awwww so much love in the room :)

Your positive outlook on, well, everything has helped me on quite a number of occasions, and I don't know whether you were a good (bad? :whistling:) judge of character, but you helped me when I needed it... I appreciate what you did to help me but what I'm most grateful for is your friendship, you really are a top guy and one of the few people who has really touched my life. There's a stack of things we should be thanking you for too mate >_<

Best of luck to you, Nell and the kids, and you better keep in touch biatch!!

I didnt know you for a long time .. but was a pleasure all the same

its nice to see that human decency and generosity to help others still exists

and its also a thing of wonder as to how owning something ( ie a nissan skyline stagea etc) can cause such a feeling of commraderie between people.

Well Cy, as everyone knows we have had our differences in the past, so I would like to say...

Thanks for all your help with chasing up the info on my car, and for all the laughs along the way.

Seriously, take care, and make sure you post photo's of your new mullet.

Did you miss this paragraph?

Ah the memories, the skids, Dakabin Railway station, the jacobs well runs, the tambo runs, the fight club, pissing the hell out of adrian by being a complete fcukwit, the island, the chilli nights, driving the R33 with no clamps on the cooler piping after Jason slaved away on it for a whole weekend, deafening Marc on his motor bike with my so called "exhaust" which was nothing more than a pipe, organising mystery cruises where even I didnt know where the final destination was, soooooooo many good times were spent right here on SAu with all the great people here.

My life would not have been the same without all of you.

Cy you are going to be missed :( your an absolutely loveable person  your presence on SAU has been truely amazing, your friendship and humour will be missed by not only myself but for many on these forums...

Being able to see all sides of your character has been something that will forever last in my memory...from your cheeky comments, your moderator speeches to the sad times of your grandfather and of course finding the rights words to give to your wife Nell on that special occasion.... :) im going to miss you around here for sure

Take care of yourself, Nell and those kiddies of yours :) :) Dont be a stranger make sure you come in to the stagea section and let us know how everything is going :)
