Rusted Coolant Pipes Below Intake Manifold

Hey guys.

Had my car looked at today, mechanic said coolant leak is due to rusted pipes below intake manifold (see pic below).

Pic of pipes I'm talking about (please note this is not a picture of my car)

I think it's just one pipe and he said you could re-weld it but he said others could be rusted as well so he suggested I might want to look for a second hand one.

What do you guys think I should do? Has anyone else fixed/replaced these pipes?

did a very similar pipe under my plenium in the gtr. took a month to find leak, source part from japan and fit. i didnt see the point of fitting a 2nd hand pipe. it might have only lasted a few months and then rusted through itself. things like that i go brand new straight from nissan japan.

Cut the flanges off and get pipes made up with some new rubber

won't cost that much as to get second hand pipes the person will make you pay for the lower half of the plenum 20-50

take it to an exhaust or fab shop, get them to jimmy one up , the paint it, because they'll probably make it out of steel

Good news guys, car got fixed today, mechanic said it wasnt as bad as they first thought. Turned out pipes werent rusted it was just the rubber hose. Very happy!
