what does a sunload sensor do? and how do you replace it on a r33 gts-t?

It senses the the sunload...

It is used for the climate control and I think it only effects the fan speed - not the temperature (could be wrong on that). It is a simple a light sensor with a preset threshold to determine if the car is in 'hot' sun.

Never replaced one, but it is prolly not much fun because I would not be surprised if you have get at it from under the dash.

Are you assuming it needs replacing because you received an error from the climate control diagnostics?

I'm not too proud of this.......but when I ran the diagnostics I was in my garage, out of direct sunlight.....so the sensor returns nothing = fault. Perhaps try it in sunlight.

It replaces from on top of the dash.......easy. main thing is when you run the diagnostics dash should be in sunlight or shine a torch on the sensor

i'll try it again in the sunlight. The reason i tried it, is besause when i have the heater on floor it sometimes changes to face.

ahh...wondered what that was .. saw it once on the dash there and i was wondering what the heck it was! now it makes sense.
