Hey guys,

Today i went to get my car fixed. ( it was jurking and loseing power when i go over 5,000rpm).

I thought it would be my coilpacks, but they changed the coilpacks and it was still doing it.

So now they think it is my fuel pump.

They also think i had a boost leak so they bloked the BOV to fix it but now when i break hard the car stalls and it gives me the sh*ts.

Does all this sound right to you guys what i am thinking is thease people dont no whats going on.

What are your thoughts on this?

Thankyou for your help.

if u got a boost leak then blocking the bov isnt the solution. unblock it, check all your fmic connections and also check your aac valve.

could also be afm and a number of other issues. if u want a hand to check it out, bring it round mine on the weekend and ill have a look at it.

also wat mods do u have to the car? ecu? anything other than fmic? have you increased boost at all on a std comp? they dont like that?

Sorry to hear that you car is playing up... if you've brought it to a mechanic and they still can't properly determine what's wrong with your car - like the others have suggested, go to another mechanic who can. From what you've indicated - if they keep saying "we think this, we think that..." in the end it will cost you an arm and a leg... bring it to someone that can help you...

Thanks for the offer i am getting it looked at again next week but if i have more trouble i might take up your offer

My R33 (series 2) has a similar problem, (mine is still stock)

for me it was the coil pack coz i taped them up with some duct tape and seemed to have fixed it temporarily,

but now and again it does it but so i should just buy new ones.

Well when you get it looked at by a mechanic can you tell me what the problem was and how they fixed it and how much it cost,

just in case when I change my coil packs and it still has the problem so I can fix it

Cheers
