My friend had owned two Accord euros the early series 1 in manual and now a late model euro in auto both were bought BRAND NEW not second hand and no accident damage now:

Problems encountered (these problems were sorted in the late model euros with the ugly rims)

-Headlight would let water in and fog up(like its been in an accident even though its a brand spanking new car)

-Problems with Steering Wheel Airbag (had to be taken back to Honda to be changed)

<Dealer replaced headlight & Steering wheel under warranty>

-Also he has heard that sometimes there wiring/electricity supply to the rear lights tend to stuff up.

The last problem hasn't happened to him but the first two have

Either way its a nice car, at the end of the day its up to you.

If your looking for a small - medium sized luxury car, have a look at the VW Jetta 2.0 FSI (same turbo engine as the Golf GTI). It heaps better and sh!t loads more fun to drive than the Euro. The DSG gearbox is awsome - super quick changes and it has a 3000rpm stall in its sports mode. My old man got one recently over the Euro and hasn't looked back. He now laughs at the thought that he nearly bought a Euro.

I'll have a look into that...price range the same?

have you bought the GTR yet?

If I did I wouldn't sell it to change my mind.

Just had a quick look at the Passat. Damn the 2005-2006 has 1.8ltr turbo that runs on around 9ltrs 100kms..damn thats pretty good!

Not very happy with the style though...but the interior looks awesome :D hmmm....

*looks away from the Euro*

Yeah, the VW's are pretty good on the juice. I drive the Jetta pretty much every day and most of the time it gets driven fairly hard, but it still returns about 550-600 k's a tank. Now that's pretty good. I'm not sure what the Passat is like, given that the car is a bit bigger and the engine is a bit smaller, but I'd say its still good.

In saying all this, I still reckon that the GTR is the way to go. For most of us here, its pretty much the ultimate car and we probably wouldn't think of much else, but I guess you will get that from a Skyline forum. It all just depends on what you want the car for dude.
