Team Cowie - 12.474 seconds!!

At TOTB we broke the 4wd 0-300kph time held by Veilside Japan there time was 13s and we set a new record going from 0-300 kph in 12.474sec.

I took it all the way to over 200mph here is some of the data taken from the timing gear.

0-30 1.226

0-60 2.539

0-100 4.346

0-150 8.085

0-200 14.751

Some photos just before we took the Veilside 0-300 record.

ummm didnt the veilside car do it on nittos?

You've got to be kidding me?!?!?

This is an OUTRIGHT record. How can it be any clearer than that?!?! Besides, slicks do VERY little to improve how fast you can reach a particular terminal speed.

So the fact that the Heat Treatments GTR reached 300kph in under 7.6s isn't taken as a record because it wasn't targetting 0-300kph?

Very nice good to see the old R32s still getting publicity :thanks:

so fastest 1/4 mile street and drag, fastest 0-300 oh yeah :)

For the dude above, the Veilside car was an R34, did it over here in NZ, just below Taupo, think the same year a Porsche crashed spectacularly on the same circuit :)

GTR:

Couldn't find the porsche crash though

yeh the one im talking about was the grey R32, 13.72 was the time beer baron, dont think it was on slicks when it did it and had a strange miss-fire halfway through second.

and i think slicks would make a differnce as to how quick you reach a certain speed, 0-300 is a timed event, slicks = less time wheel spinning, and more time on the power, means you get to that speed in less time. unless you want to get into maths/physics with rolling resistance at higher speed etc, i really cant see how it wouldnt make a difference

i know you like your drag racing, go run on a set of $30 retreads vs some real good tyres. 0-300 is basically the same format as drag racing, just with a different goal
