rollcage legalities?

anyone know what needs to be done to a rollcage to make it legal?

i mean obviously it has to be engineered but what thickness? diameter etc etc will it need to be to get the engineers cert?

Dont think there is a "thinkness" for the street. But the thinkness for ANDRA and CAMS are different.

There were some requirements for the street in VIC if remember correctly so you might want to look into it Ne.

I think it was even something like a 6pt rollcage was legal and a 10pt rollcage wasn't or something??

sweet just finished reading it and i dont need an engineering cert unless it modifies any of the body or structure to attach it.

also i can remove the seatbelts but leave the seats in it as long as i remove the seatbelts and register it as "conditional registration"

AFAIK 6 point rear rollcages (the type that don't come past the B pillar) are OK, coz there is a version of the Monaro you can buy off the dealers which comes with a stock half cabin rollcage.
