Wreckers In Japan

hi,

for those in japan, i wanted to ask you a question about car wreckers..

i've been looking for a part for my V35 skyline for a few weeks on yahoo auctions but not many standard/OEM parts seem to come up.

my question is: do they have many wreckers in japan (like justjap and the likes we have over here), that hold a heap of front cuts and happen to sell parts online like justjap do?

i was hoping i'd be able to source something very small from a V35 front cut from japan and it seems stupid waiting forever watching yahoo auctions for a part that seems like its never going to show up..!

i appreciate any help that anyone is able to provide

have you tried just buying it from nissan? if it's just a small part the associated costs with having someone buy it from a wrecker and send it to you here will be more than the value of the part. just ring nissan and order it easy.

i'm after the OEM paddle shifters from the V35 350GT-8 sedan, in black

so if i just show up at a nissan dealer in australia then they could sort it out?

i figure it might be quite espensive new through a dealer..

yeah they could definitely get it. but you're right it could be quite expensive for something like that. I thought maybe you were after a small piece of interior trim or something. but it's worth asking them and finding out a price.

well they are very small pieces, much smaller than you would think, but they could charge an arm and a leg because they are not very common...

they don't affect prices based on whether a part is common in aus or not. we are a tiny market. give it a shot.

Did you try TAU? They do online stuff (whole cars, boats, damaged and parts) and can probably help u locate the part. Yes they are based in Japan too.

i have been in contact with one company but they can't find it second-hand and its still $1000 through them for the part new from nissan japan

TAU arent really reliable if you havent delt with them previously or if your orders are small.

Yahoo Auction is probably your best bet for used. What exactly do u need? Pics??

buy the equivalent part off a G35 from the US. Shipping is a bit steep, but there's plenty of spare parts retailers where you can order online over there. Plus it's in english.

paddl shifters weren't offered on the G35 in the USA

only the 350GT-8 sedan from japan

you can buy aftermarket paddle shifters and fit them yourself.
