Just as a matter of interest how much boost does a standard r33 gtst type m have? i've been told 7psi going by the gauge on the dash but i didnt think that was boost pressure as it isnt measured in psi?? i thought it was 8-10 psi varying with the boost solonoid? right or wrong??

no its 7 psi ... the standard gauge is in mmHg .. another pressure standard unit ... convert it to psi and its the same ..

hmmm.... No.

The standard guage reads 'x100 mmHg'. 7 psi does not equal 7mmHg. If you're running stock boost, does your standard guage actually go all the way to 7?

1 psi = 51.714 mmHg. My engine is standard and the guage sits just above half way between 0 and 7 before 4700RPM (410mmHg = ~8psi) then jumps a little higher after the boost solenoid opens up (515mmHg = ~10psi).

Antaun, you is correct.
