hi guys

im having problems with my misfiring in my R32. i have found the problem its the ignitor. i have been looking around for one. if i get one 2nd hand it will cost me around $200 which i dont know how long it will last or condition of it. or a new one from nissan which is $650 LoL

i was looking on the nengun website and i found that HKS makes an aftermarket one its called a HKS - Twin Power Type DLI Delivered for $450

http://www.nengun.com/hks/twin-power

so should i get the HKS one or just a 2nd hand one?

cheers

2Nd hand one should not be $200, you can get new aftermarket ones for about $150, triton make them. I think the twin spark needs the ignitor kept, but im not sure

triton products are available through any auto store....but not many people keep them. Mostly Bosch and Echlin from my experience. You will need to order it either way I would say.

would u know the part number for the Bosch one?

more info on triton one please, which motors do they list them for, or got a part number? I need one too and even from slide they are $000s from nissan.

no point buying second hand why would it last any longer than the old one?

Before you buy a new igniter, try this trick (it worked for me) Cut open the back with side cutters and check the input and output wires. I found on mine, one wire had become detached.(No.4 coil pack) All I did was clear away the insulating goo and soldered it back on. That was 12mths ago, still working fine. Good luck.
