this has happened a few times now at first i thought it might of been cold and playin up but the car had been running for a while and went to put my foot down in 2nd and nothin felt asif some1 was holding my car back then all this boost kicked in like 2-3 seconds later then again happened in 3rd. checked to see if anything had come loose or hose split or something but everything seems fine.. this only happens randomly but happens none the less and is gettin annoyin. its a stock r32 gts t ( exhaust and strut braces only )

will getting a new ecu and afm and 040 fix this ???

how old are your spark plugs?

what boost are you running?

it sounds like a spark/coilpack issue.

or could be a cas issue cos sounds similar to mine. does it do it more when the car is cold and then only occasionally when warm?

5th word to the left.

put mouse on it

click left mouse button.

magical new screen will apear.

type in problem and hit enter on magical keyboard of mystery.

read what the mystical monitor displays.

ive only had the car for 2 months .. so no idea will replace sparks and see about new coil pack..

CAS? no idea what that is. when its cold its bad. if i leave it runnning for a min or 2 in the morning it helps alot. but when its been running for awhile its only happens here and there..

every rb20det using stock ECU does it.

A new ECU can be used to "tune" out this issue.

it's not causing any harm.

let it warm up.

not every rb20 does it when its cold.

if you can, swap over a CAS (crank angle sensor) with someone else's if you can, its the thing that sits on the top right of your motor with the mitsubishi logo on it. its held in by 3x10mm bolts.

keep note of your timing though.
