Factory Remote For Central Locking Dead?

Hey guys

I have a factory central locking remote attached with my ignition key and after a battery change it’s not working anymore.

Before the battery change it was working but only when you were standing right next to the car so thought a battery change would be in order.

After the battery change the remote no longer works.

In my previous car you had to re program the remote by following a bunch of steps. Could someone guide me how to reprogram my remote for a R33 series 2?

even though its only been like this for 4 hours or so its really starting to bug me now that i have to use the key to open the car all the time.

not the best pic but here it is

its not an aftermarket remote as its got nissan inprinted on it and only has one button to lock and unlock. when it locks the car makes and beeping noise and unlock does the same and it sounded like a microwave beep lol

yep its a dealer fit item. main part of it is in the door. if that unit has died then its replacement time. no way to fix it.

ummm but it was working before i did the battery change in the remote so is there a way to maybe reprogram it???

iv already booked it for an alarm install but that wont be done till september 29th which is a while away.

I've heard that some keys need to "resync" with the rolling code setup... although I wouldn't have thought that the stocker had this feature.

But it won't hurt to try! Hold the unlock button for 10 seconds or something while the car is locked?

Failing that, try turning the ignition to "on" and hold unlock for 10 secs.

All wild guesses, but it can't hurt to try, right?
