I noticed that my light bulb is not working when the doors open, or even switch on at all. The other light at the front of the car with the push to operate worked fine.

So i went and bought a new light (12V, 10W) and replaced the old one. It didn't work after doing this, and the stragest thing was that the other light now also wont work.

Does anyone know how this can be fixed? any help would be greatly appreciated. btw my car is a R34Gtt

Either a fuse, or sometimes you get a small build up on the contacts. I think its a oxidised layer or something. Just get some sand paper and give it the once over to clean the contacts up. The contacts in the fitting, not the light globe btw.

Thanks, ill try sanding it. The other light burned out too

I know you got the correct bulb, but if they're blowing, it might mean that for some reason the voltage is not right. There may be a voltage leak/surge for some reason. Are the globes definately blown? Are you sure its not a fuse?

i have a feeling its a fuse problem otherwise the other light which is seperate wont just stop working.. would the fuse be under the dash? i dont want to meddle with it too much and cause some serious problems....
