yes you do need to remove that facia

I have an Apexi EL2 Analog Boost Gauge which has a blue light, I took a pic to compare one layer of Blue (301) over the clock. Tried to get them in the same pic to compare, came out quite dark.

Hey man, dash looks good!

Do you know if the light in the A'pexi EL2 can be changed? Iv never seen a black faced one lit up at night before, and now seeing yours, i was wondering if you can change it to white (not face, the illumination)

Cos the dash on my 33 is really white with brilliant red needles, so wanted the A'pexi gague to look as similar as possible :)

Ok so it doesnt look that white in the photo :P But im going to get either white LED's or the bulbs i use as parklights (soo white! :P )

Need to get rid of the poo poo yellow coming through the boost gague, and odometer bits :D

Has anoyne had experience with white LED's? Every time i get them they end up being purple :s Hence giving up.

It is not fantastic and my Apexi Boost Gauge isn't as blue as it used to seem against the new lights. The Clock and AC screen get darker when the lights are turned on. I think the colour would match better if they didn't dim. My AC screen is darker than the clock and I am thinking of trying the 301 Blue perspex for that to brighten it up.

I was thinking the I could find out which wire gives power to the AC Controls to let it know the lights are on and cut it but that would probably mean the buttons wouldn't light up. Maybe there is a resistor on the circuit board that would be easy to swap over over or just replace with another or plain wire.

I have also done the dash and a/c buttons with Dans LEDs, and got some blue gel/film and put in front of the lcd's, but yeah, the AC is darker, and very hard to read in the day w/ peak sunlight. The other two bulbs that you dont replace when doing the LED swap over, you reckon its possible to change with brighter bulbs? has any1 heard of any1 doing this? do want
