conversionking
Hi there, firstly this all new to me so play nice! I was also not sure where to put this so I put it here so the friendly NSW people can try and offer some advice. I am looking at purchasing my first import, it is a skyline R32 GTS-T in good condition about 100k's on the clock, auto sunroof thingy. It is pretty much bog stock as a rock with a nice looking RB20 in it. It also is not complied but was brought in under the 15 year old thing with an import approval cert. I am just wondering three things. 1) What is this worth $$$ wise 2) Is there somewhere I can drive in and out in Western Suburbs of sydney for the changes like intrusion bars etc etc so I can just register it? 3) How are the intrusion bars fitted, I read they are welded or riveted? If welded are the welded to the door skin or the frame? Any advice / help appreciated. I did search and have read many forums but these specifics where not covered. Thanks in advance. Blitz
Ring Nathan at Grey Imports on 95195150, he can take care of all the compliance work for you - He is in Annandale The side intrusion bars are welded inside the door skins Is the car manual or automatic? GoldZilla
So if I could get a 2 door coupe in good nick for 6k complied I would be laughing? Absolutely, but as long as you're remembering to factor in ALL the costs. I've never done it, because I'm the third Aussie owner of my car, but I'd assume that there are a lot of hidden costs in getting compliancing sorted. I haven't been to Nathan, but have heard nothing but good things about him from a number of people on SAU. Duncan
and about 6-8k is right if you import it yourself - you save money but take the risk that the car is crap when it gets here Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/180247-info-on-a-skyline/#findComment-3280409 Share on other sites
