is this different to electronic boost control and how does it work?

yes it is

it is a similar setup to a single bleed valve, but has two bleed valves. you set one for low boost and one for high boost. you then manually flick between high and low with a dash mounted

switch which controls a solonoid valve.

yeah...just elaborating on darrein's comment,

the elctronic boost controller (e -boost)

has

digital readouts, kpa, psi

boost display,

waste gate settings u can modify

and other displays and settings.

Where a this one, a dual controller is still mechanical and has two settings.
