Okay got all my parts from SydneyKids suspension group buy, thanks Gary looks great.

Only drama is like many I suspect, I dont have standard strut tops to use to install my shiny new bilsteins :)

looking through Nissan FAST (parts program thingo) trying to work out exactly which parts are required and was at least going to price them from Nissan

So just wondering if anyone who has installed there group buy bits can confirm which parts exactly I need I am sure nissan wont be cheap so dont want to buy bits I dont need. Have attached a pic of the fronts and figure if i can confirm those parts are, 56113 56119 56115 56119a 54034 54055m and maybe the gasket looking bit 54329n, the rears shouldnt be to hard to work out

Oh yeah mine had the optional Eibach springs too, so would much appreciate to hear from anyone who has these installed.

Hi, I've got these coilovers in my car too. I think your best bet is to scour the for sale section and find a complete set of stock strut for sale (GTR or GTS-t, I think R33 ones fit too, but dont hold me to that). They usually go for around $200 and then you get some spare shocks to keep for shits and giggles.

If not, for the front you need 56115, 56119 and 56119+A.

On the rear you need 55322, 56217 and 56218 (or 55248N, I cant remember exactly what the parts look like, fairly sure on the first one though.)

The shocks should come with nuts, and you should be able to get washers from anywhere.

Cheers mate figured the washers were probly just washers slight overkill on my part

Living in the NT shipping on a set a shocks/struts I dont really want migh be a killer

thought it was worth pricing genuine you never know $$$$$

will of course keep an eye out for second handys and as some of these parts appear to be just rubber bushes!?

thought they might be worn anyway

and I am impatient and want to install my new goodies ASAP

:)

    • What ECU is on your car @silviaz? You can just change the idle target table yourself and the IACV duty cycle. Noting that if you play around with the screw you'll also need to revisit the idle base duty table as you will end up offsetting the lot. Another reason why DBW is superior, there's less mucking about.
    • Yep. Saw that on the image above but, wonder if it makes more sense to clean out the iacv because let's say in theory mine is dirty and if I clean it the rpm will drop. If I first go to my tuner to drop the rpm and then go to clean my iacv won't it drop further or is the rpm a fixed number?
    • Yeah it was a good result, and confirming the car is full of fluids and all interior etc in, other than fuel. I think a few pages back (maybe many pages!) he mentioned some serious lightening in the doors with the chassis punch, might have been done elsewhere I hadn't seen yet too
    • He still had the suspension dialled in for him! I would have sworn the lowest weight he ever got to was 1300kg though Maybe Neil had been drilling a LOT of holes somewhere you haven't found yet... 😛 Or has he also drained all the gearbox and diff oil out too, between it, and a tank full of fuel there's about 65kg to 70kg to add back in I'd guess. 😛
    • Yeah this isn't a super complex shape, but I was still happy to buy instead of fab version 1; very little in a modern can is a flat surface, and that is true here again - the undertray has about 50mm in height differences that I would have had to work out myself. I will probably make something more substantial before it does any rally, I don't think 1mm steel is too much use as a bash plate. There is also cooling to think about, Z1 have done a bit of development and have some air holes and louvers in the shape, will see how that works out too
