What happened to your dream 34GTR? at least your pulling your head in and getting something non-Sultan budget. I went from a 1.8L non-turbo Laser TX3 (~123hp) to a GTR, its just a different car and more power when you want it, I wasn't wowed by the power actually (293hp when I acquired it). Sounds like you hurt that 32 something woeful.

Although moving from a GTST to a 180sx, your still hovering in the low budget car territory IMO. I'm not saying go all out and get a GTR before assessing your finacial situation. I was living at home with alot of my wage left over each month which is why I got a loan and went with my 32GTR.

Why should he have to post less just because there's a heroic keyboard warrior who follows him around and gives him a hard time?

again grant with the top come back..yeah why should i be posting less i have as much right as everyone else

hay buddy

r u gonna go for 1000hp in the 180sx as well or be realistic and go for just . . . . .700hp lol

good luck anyway with the drifting career son

haha..not at first no...mite keep it below 500hp for a while

and thanks for the GL

CTjet you called this one early.

I think GTST has a point. OP has to be realistic. I read the last thread he posted and this one is as ridiculous as the last. Who are you trying to fool talking up a 1000hp GTR then settling for a 180 "drift-pig"..i hate that term..

worst thing you did Op was start this thread and bare yourself to a public lashing at the hands of GTST a la SAU style ( alls fair in love and war )

Personally i think your daft for going one eighty, literally.

Don't worry about it..

I've been here from almost the begining back when most people knew each other and could hand out good old fashion verbal beatings on stupidity.

now it seems that the newer younger members are all EMO and on the edge of cutting their wrists as it is and god forbid you say something at theur stupidity or they'll cry.

Like Blitz for example.. I can call him a homo anal punching, 4wd requiring knob jockey..

and he won't cry or complain that I'm being harsh on him for owning a stagea barge...

he knows it's the truth and expects to get that kind of truth from his SAU mates.

Ain't that right Blitz?

I'm really happy for you. In fact, we all are...

Here's an idea: Continue having fun with your 'friends', but don't think that just because you've been here for years you have the right to follow new members around and give them shit just because you don't personally agree with their posts.

    • My idle is set at 950rpm though - Moving the timing around 20 degrees is not really what I'd call a calm idle. That said... neither is chop, by definition. The LS ECU likes to adjust timing to hold idle as opposed to air. It'd work, but generally speaking there'd be a discrepancy in the base idle and the IACV would want to move the timing around anyway to maintain said idle. I think I'm just going to keep the timing steady anyway. Preserve my engine mounts.  My aircon is now officially regassed. As the guy was reversing I noticed my reverse lights do not operate, along with my reverse cam. This is a bit distressing, because 100% of guides talk about which wire to connect to backup cams as "the goes with the [other color] wire". Often when doing conversions. Unfortunately the R34 colour wires aren't documented Unfortunately I had a T56 Magnum gearbox with it's reverse switch, which also isn't documented. Unfortunately there's definitely not documentation for people with both of these in the one car. Unfortunately I forgot. After many hours of this, I have a reverse cam and reverse lights again. The wire going through the trans tunnel to the reverse switch had broken. Upon inspection, it looks like this one wire had about 7 spade terminals and extensions in it.. for reasons I cannot possibly comprehend. I also spent the 750 hours required to clean up the wiring behind my head unit which now looks like this: This is a monumental improvement relative to what used to be there WRT triple gauges, head unit, traction control, wideband controller, and whatever the f**k OEM stuff still exists there in various states of connectivity/needed. Next step is to check in at the Exhaust shop to see/confirm how much clearance I have, to decide what mid mufflers or 'resonators' (which are just straight through, narrower mufflers) I can add and hopefully cut out a lot of exhaust leaks, pinhole, v-band or otherwise. But first step will be to 'take a look' before the next step.
    • Fark the AFM card and Nistune, Haltech Nexus S3, DBW, cruise control, flex fuel, dis dat.
    • It's most likely the bolt/bush where the cover bolts back wore and allowed cover to move forward.
    • Still haven't put the injectors and R35 AFM in so we can tune the bloody thing for the HG highflow it got mid last year! I think I can forecast the upgrade path to a bigger twin scroll, external gate, Haltech, flex setup, Samsonas, dis dat, etc will be .... a while away!
    • Should have taken that opportunity to slot in a twin scroll turbo setup. Maybe next time.
