markimak...its not that i dont like you...well i probably wouldnt if i met you in RL(probably cause im carnt)...its just that i find almost everything you say extremely annoying for alot of reasons i cant explain. I also find it funny how you take the crap that gets thrown your way all the time so well, but atleast you throw it back....sometimes.

I dont intend for this to be rude by any means....but i just cant get over how silly some of things you say in certain threads are. I really cant....maybe its just me and not you lol.

P.S I would believe that you actually did hire out tokyo drift so you could improve your drifitng skills. Whether you claim it as a joke or not.

Isnt that how most peeps feel about Col these days. :)

But Bathurst! who wants to see a bunch of land barges crawl around a twisty track. All with same engines, same brakes, same tyres, same fuel setup?

Would you pay to watch drifting if chicks were involved?

I guess its cause is like the holy grail of motorsport in Australia.

I may like 1992 the best cause the skyline won (again) but I really enjoy having the whole family over for a bbq and to watch the race together.

To me bathurst is like christmas day, its only once a year and I like to make the most of it and share the day with the closest of friends and family.

Because I'm 2002 and need to be taken down.

Josh---> :P <---- Humanity

dont forget the chicks!

Maby I need to get to one of these events, you say theres chicks eh?

as apposed to...the v8 super car fans being all VB drinking bogans that couldn't drive a car round a track if they tried..probably a generalisation but hey, thats what the internets for right? lol

I dont drink VB!!! But i guess im not really a fan as I only watch one or two races a year.

As its really the only motorsport telecast on free to air tv these days also, SBS used to do allot of drag racing on speedweek.

And yes, quite a generalisation. As I only go to Indy for the action on the balconys :D and maby the cars ;)

20 Drag launches every wednesday on sticky tyres is WAY freindlier :P

I wish, 20 launchs is mythical.

Only Cyrus will ever get to claim that, he is now in SAU history books as the most 1/4's in one night :D

Andy's a drifter Andy's a drifter. Myaa nyaa nanyaaana :)

ROFL :laughing-smiley-014:

here a something for you to try at home kids:

WOW, got smoke?

Thats a cool porsche, Josh buy one like this :D

I feel I need to settle something once and for all.

DRIFTING IS A MOTORSPORT.

And Shane and Noel....if you think it's so easy to link a few corners together and lose control (without coming off the track and clipping the apex and high speed)....why don't you get out there and do it.

It is a difficult sport, and like any other motorsport, any challenge while two or more drivers battle it out is worth watching in my books.

It's final....I'm starting a POLL! We'll see the results

nah ur not rude.. meet me.. ull love me im the chocolate version of joshie.. and he is my vanila version.

and it was a joke.. same with R33 being anything but a cruise barge.. to think u went and brought 2..

and point bout me saying shit.. its a forum.. get over it.. im sure ur an overweight keyboard warrior like the rest of them. except most on here are decent guys with some good stories to tell. and some are just tools with too much broadband to use..

Typical answer from someone who obviously can’t control a throttle and steering wheel at the same time while going side ways. Afraid you might come off the mountain?

I wana see this thread get another 3 pages with people trying to flame me

lol.. flame on. im afraid of falling off the mountain.. i got some bad snap back today.. bounced off limiter in 1st around a set of lights (on a track :nyaanyaa: )

Yeah drifters use heaps of throttle control. You need to keep your foot mashed to allow the engine to bounce of the rev limiter every 0.5 seconds. Now that is throttle control.

Would that be on the rare occassion they are actually holding onto the wheel & not just letting the excessive castor do the steering for them?

How is that for flaming, I am only new to this....

lol.. ur stupid.. to actually bounce of rev limiter they need to want to move forward and have the correct steering angle.. quite stupid to think its that easy..

roflcopter @ djr81.....it's so easy to drift....just smash the throttle and the car does the rest....why don't we all go join the D1 Japan/America series, get paid heaps, drive nice cars, get free cars/parts all while being competition winnahs?

now wouldnt that be the life to have.. u have any idea of the respect they get.. watch option video.

Isnt that how most peeps feel about Col these days. :D

cols cool.. who says otherwise..?

again, i never said it was easy, read what i've said u oversize fook

;)

but u shun it.. saying that drag racing is harder.. bullshit.. as someone mentioned.. slot in drive mash the right and wait 11secs...

    • The rain is the best time to push to the edge of the grip limit. Water lubrication reduces the consumption of rubber without reducing the fun. I take pleasure in driving around the outside of numpties in Audis, WRXs, BRZs, etc, because they get all worried in the wet. They warm up faster than the engine oil does.
    • When they're dead cold, and in the wet, they're not very fun. RE003 are alright, they do harden very quickly and turn into literally $50 Pace tyres.
    • Yeah, I thought that Reedy's video was quite good because he compared old and new (as in, well used and quite new) AD09s, with what is generally considered to be the fast Yokohama in this category (ie, sporty road/track tyres) and a tyre that people might be able to use to extend the comparo out into the space of more expensive European tyres, being the Cup 2. No-one would ever agree that the Cup 2 is a poor tyre - many would suggest that it is close to the very top of the category. And, for them all to come out so close to each other, and for the cheaper tyre in the test to do so well against the others, in some cases being even faster, shows that (good, non-linglong) tyres are reaching a plateau in terms of how good they can get, and they're all sitting on that same plateau. Anyway, on the AD08R, AD09, RS4 that I've had on the car in recent years, I've never had a problem in the cold and wet. SA gets down to 0-10°C in winter. Not so often, but it was only 4°C when I got in the car this morning. Once the tyres are warm (ie, after about 2km), you can start to lay into them. I've never aquaplaned or suffered serious off-corner understeer or anything like that in the wet, that I would not have expected to happen with a more normal tyre. I had some RE003s, and they were shit in the dry, shit in the wet, shit everywhere. I would rate the RS4 and AD0x as being more trustworthy in the wet, once the rubber is warm. Bridgestone should be ashamed of the RE003.
    • This is why I gave the disclaimer about how I drive in the wet which I feel is pretty important. I have heard people think RS4's are horrible in the rain, but I have this feeling they must be driving (or attempting to drive) anywhere close to the grip limit. I legitimately drive at the speed limit/below speed the limit 100% of the time in the rain. More than happy to just commute along at 50kmh behind a train of cars in 5th gear etc. I do agree with you with regards to the temp and the 'quality' of the tyre Dose. Most UHP tyres aren't even up to temperature on the road anyway, even when going mad initial D canyon carving. It would be interesting to see a not-up-to-temp UHP tyre compared against a mere... normal...HP tyre at these temperatures. I don't think you're (or me in this case) is actually picking up grip with an RS4/AD09 on the road relative to something like a RE003 because the RS4/AD09 is not up to temp and the RE003 is closer to it's optimal operating window.
    • Either the bearing has been installed backwards OR the gearbox input shaft bearing is loosey goosey.   When in doubt, just put in a Samsonas in.
