i'm trying to install my evc.

i notice that there is a 6mm hose coming off the black pipe going towards the intercooler (this is one of the hoses connected to the metal T piece going towards the stock solenoid)

Is this "compressor outlet pipe before the intercooler"?

Yes, sounds like it. Connect that to the inlet of the boost controller and the outlet to your actuator.

tough call without pictures

I know my HKS EVC has one vacuum line to the wastegate controller on the turbo, one to the inlet plenum (after the throttle body) and one after the turbo before the intercooler.
