Quick Acl Bearing Question Guys.

just got my acl bearing s from my engine builder. the mains are all the same apparently rb25/26 30 but the big ends he has supplied say rb30 only.. will these be ok for a 650 fwhp or should i exchange them for 26 ones. i am using spool rods..bernie uk.

Hi Bernie, the RB30's use a different conrod bearing to suit the larger diameter conrod journal so you can't use RB26 ones. The mains are the same dimensions, the RB26 mains have more oil feed holes which you don't need in an RB30 but won't hurt anything using them.

unless your bottom end has been machined to allow the use of the 26 bearings properly...ie. the extra oil holes.
