Hey guys,

Just a bit of an update: the exchange rate was slightly better than expected (budgeted for 1.1000 and received 1.1135) but the transfer fee was slightly more (budgeted for $20 and payed $28). They pretty much even each other out, but I ended up making a huge profit of $8 :D

I had to pay for an extra set myself to make up the numbers, so if anyone (prefereably in melb) wants to buy it then pm me.

I think I've let most of you know already but I'm going on holidays for two weeks (leaving this saturday) so after then the best way if you need to contact me is on my mobile.

Regards

Greg

Sorry Clint I have to be fair here, neoGT-25 asked me first about 1 hour ago so I'll give him first go at them. If he deides against it or takes forever to get the money, then you'll be next in line. Alternatively I could auction them off? :D j/k

It cost me about $100 to get my Cobe extractors fitted, just to give you guys an idea... It took a little longer than I was expecting because they had to grind a side off all 12 of the washers, to miss the welds on the extractors.

yep its true, i'm currently in the cook islands :)

At the other end couldn't you just get them to weld a flange to it so it does bolt on to the cat? this would make it easier if you wanted to change your cat in the future. it sounds a bit dodgy about grinding them down, i thought they were meant to be a straight bolt on.

i had a look at the standard extractors today and they suck! piping is really small and bends obviously aren't mandrel done. also you guys should tighten your throttle cables. i took a fair bit of slack out of mine and it's much more responsive now :)

cheers

greg

    • Hi, need help on wiring i swap motor from rb25de neo to S1 rb25det. Is it possible i can still use the de neo loom or do i need the s1 loom? Can i add extra wiring to add wastegate soleniod and iat sensor? Can i use injector and coils on same loom as i running bosch injectors and vag coils? I bought nz wiring trigger kit for neo, can i use that on s1 motor? What else do i need to do to work everything right?

    • Good tips, will get on those tomorrow. When doing the maintenance I did move a few of those connectors around, and things that are old tend to not like moving around. (Like me).
    • Don't try it. It will be shit. Better chance of damaging the engine than gaining any knowledge about the old one. Maybe, but unlikely, especially if the O2 sensor is working. You can use NissDataScan to look at the stock ECU.   Cleaning the AFM is seldom necessary and seldom helps. The R35 coil & loom conversion should eliminate dud coils or plugs. But as you still have misses - look to the plug where the coil loom connects to the engine loom, and the CAS plug. Need quality connections there. Also look to injector plugs. And the AFM plug while you're at it. Also look to whether your injectors are clean and flowing evenly. Get them out and onto a testbench.
