Question reguarding importing..

If i was to import a car what measures will i have to take when i get it in...

Will i have to take off all the mods... (i think u have to for compliance ) and what will i have to pay Approx in importing costs and stramp duty..

What i am getting at is

r32 GTR ----- 18,500 in japan

r32 GTS-T ------- 13,000 in My hometown..

obviously i would pay the extra but how much?? will it be worth it??

yes, you will have to take off all the mods, and provide evidence that they were destroyed....that's the "official" rules anyway. It's still a bit unclear how strict the gov is going to be about it.

As for costs...try going to www.prestigemotorsport.com.au and follow the link to their cost calculater thingy. It will work out the cost for you.

You will have to enter your own details for rego and stamp duty as this is different from state to state...I think our stamp duty here is 3%...so for a $20,000 car this would be $600.
